I’ve worked hard every day since I was 14 years old. I’ve owned 4 businesses in my life and worked for some very large corporations. The last high tech corporation I worked for, gave me the title of ‘Business Development Manager’ and a revenue target of $93 million dollars. I hit the revenue target for them (of course I didn’t get to keep any of it) and then they decided to close my division and layoff everyone in my department in October ‘06. Well I started enjoying my unexpected freedom a little too much and ended up with a DUI and time in Tent City Jail, Arizona in September ‘07.
After months of trying to find a job, my 401K started running low and I was getting filled with dispare. I finally decided to publish a DVD on my experience in Tent City. You see, when I was going to the tents, I was let out 5 days a week for 12 hours for work release. Everyday that I was free, I recorded a video diary of what happened the day before. I figured other people going to the tents would want the DVD to know what to expect. So, I started a website called www.tentcityaz.com and offer tips, information and the DVD on the site.
This blog feature was added to my website in October 2008. As of October ‘08, I have run out of money in my 401K, still don’t have a job, and today the stock market is crashing and still headed south. Tougher times are ahead but I hope that this blog will eventually chronicle my rise from the ashes and our enjoyment of bloggin about our freedoms and opportunities.

Well its New Years Eve! I finally have a job but it doesn’t pay nearly what I used to make. I hope that 2009 is a whole lot better than 2008 for me and you!
